How to speak smart in interview
Not everybody can speak fluently in front of a camera. Although you know what you speak as the subjects are your own experiences or long kept wishes, you cannot speak anything once you are interviewed or sit on symposium. Here are few tips for you. The assumption is that you have a good handler, an interviewer.
* Don't worry if you can make a hit
Only a professional speaker can evaluate a story and speak the story at the same time. Since you have an interviewer and the story will be edited later, you can talk as you recall or think of it.
* Don't fall into abstractions
You need to recall many experiences and generalize them by finding what is common before you speak in the abstract. Speaking about one typical example is much easier.
* Speak what you are touched by
Speak what you are saddened, pleased, angered, etc. and/or your long kept wishes. You are moved by them and these stories can move others, too.
* Make big gestures
Your face is hidden under the mask. Make big gestures to make up the facial expressions. You may stand up and express yourself by the body. Or you interact with an attendant next to you.
Even if the interview proceed with questions and answers, your talk wouldn't become lively if you merely say yes or no. Remember three phrases:
for example
because
and after that
Interviewer is a listener. You are a speaker. If you merely answer what is asked, the interviewer will be keep speaking. When you has answered the question, add "for example", "because" or "and after that" so that you can keep talking.
